On the afternoon of Wednesday 25th of March Mrs Margaret Bartlett a resident of Ealing was the unfortunate victim of a robbery on the Uxbridge Road near the junction of Brownlow Road. Having stolen £300 from this vulnerable and elderley lady, the callous team of 3 robbers proceeded to run into the Mosque complex. Having been caught on camera, they escaped before the police arrived. We are hopeful that they will be apprehended for this despicable act of criminality against a defenceless old woman.
Upon hearing of Mrs Barlett’s ordeal, Mosque regulars and its Friday congregation all contributed towards the raising of over £400, which was delivered to Mrs Bartlett earlier this week. The Mosque admin would like to thank all brothers and sisters who participated in this noble endeavor. Below is a letter as sent by Mrs Bartlett.
Dear Mr Rahman,
This is just a short note to say thank you so much for the gift of flowers and money that I recieved from your congregation yesterday. I am touched beyond measure at the kindness and thoughtfulness of so many people. It was a horrible experience I went through, but at the end of it I am reminded that there are so many more good people in the world than bad ones.
I am also more than grateful for your support and the kind offer of assistance. It is very much appreciated and is an act of real friendship.
I thank you once more and wish you and all the members of your congregation much health and happiness in the future.
With warm wishes,
Mrs Margaret Bartlett

Prophetic Narrations on Honouring the Elderly
Anas ibn Malik narrated that the Prophet (pbuh) said, “If a young man honours an elderly on account of his age, Allah appoints someone to honour him in his old age.”
The Prophet (pbuh) said, “By Him in Whose hand my soul is, Allah does not bestow His mercy except on a merciful one.” They (the Companions) said, “All of us are merciful.” The Prophet (pbuh) replied, “Not only that each of you has mercy upon the other, but to have mercy also upon all people.”
The Prophet (pbuh) said, “He is not one of us who does not show mercy to our young ones and esteem to our elderly.”
