Local Cemetery Expansion

Greenford Park Cemetery is the local burial ground for the Muslim community in Ealing, in the wake of the Covid pandemic its capacity was drastically reduced and had become a very serious concern. Subsequent to meetings with the council last year, WLIC representatives were pleased to attend a small ground breaking ceremony for the new extension on Thursday the 22nd of February 2024.

The Muslim community will be designated a proportion of the extension which used to be allotments, this should fulfil its needs for a few years. The works to prepare the land will be complete later this year. We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the previous occupiers, the Council and its local councillors for their efforts in helping secure this important facility for our communities.
