WLIC and UKIM along with all other mainstream Muslim organisations, strongly condemns the horrific murder that took place in Woolwich on Wednesday 22nd May. We would like to express our deepest condolences to the family of the victim. There is no justification for such a crime; criminals and murderers do not represent any community or religion. We remain steadfast in opposing all forms of hate and terrorism.

We ask all communities to remain united and work together in the face of this atrocious event. The Muslim community should come forward and share the true message and teachings of Islam with our wider British community, a message of peace, harmony, forgiveness, co-operation and justice.
