West London Football Tournament 2008

It was a cold and windy start to the day, but that didn\'t stop 26 teams of 7 players turning up for the West London Football Tournament 2008. Playing on 5 pitches for the 2008 cup, there were attendees from as far away as Camberley.

After some fantastic games during the run up and in the semi\'s, the final was played out between Somali Youth from Hounslow and  the team representing the Mosque, Al-Muntada Islami in Fulham. It was a close match and Al-Muntada pinched it at the end. The winners recieved the cup and winners medals during a ceremony at the centre, the runners-up and team for best beahaviour and conduct, Camaberley also recieved medals.

The West London Islamic Centre Sports Committe would like to thank all the brothers who participated, the refs who done a brilliant job and Br Junaid Dar for helping organise the day. Insha\'Allah the Tournament will become an annual feature.

Narrated by Anas (RA) I served the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) for ten years, and he never said to me even a 'Uf' [a minor harsh word denoting impatience] and never blamed me by saying, 'Why did you do so or why didn't you do so?'[Related in Bukhari]
