Ramadan & Eid 2021 At WLIC

Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated on Thursday 13th May. We are fortunate to have witnessed the blessed month after 2 years away from the Masjid. Please remember that we are celebrating this month and Eid with all Covid regulations still in place. Our aim is to welcome and accommodate all visitors in a safe and secure manner Insha’Allah.  

Eid prayer timings will be 6am, 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am & 11am. There will be limited capacity for local brothers, sisters and children, please make your wudhu at home and bring a face mask, a shoe bag and prayer mat. Please form an orderly socially distances que outside the Masjid and wait for the previous prayer to finish. Zakatul Fitr is £5 per person and should be paid before the Eid Salah. This is a time of beneficence,so please support as many good causes as you can, find out more about the WLIC Redevelopment Project and its progress here.

SAFETY FIRST: There will be limited and shortened Taraweeh arrangements for brothers and sisters on a first come first served basis, unfortunately there will be no late night Qiyam/Tahajud prayers in the last 10 nights this year. The entire ground floor is for sisters only, with the entance on Brownlow Road. Please do not bring children under the age of 12 for Taraweeh and if you are sick please pray at home. There will be no toilet or wudu facilities except in an emergency. The Masjid will open 30 minutes before Isha prayer and when the Masjid is full the gates will sadly be closed. Please bring your own face mask, shoe-bag and prayer mat, when in the building follow the one way systems, please be patient and cooperate with steward volunteers.

This year there will be no seated Iftar or food consumption in the Masjid, Insha’Allah when available, there will be take-away food packs after Maghrib, you can donate towards the Iftar fund in the office.

Please comply with social distancing when queuing  outside the Masjid, please be considerate of our neighbours and do not congregate in large groups outside. We pray that Allah (swt) protects us, cures us and accepts our Siyam, Qiyam, Qur’an and Sadaqah in this exalted period.

Jummah Friday prayer and Khutba start times are1.30pm (Khutba begins 1.05pm), 2.15pm (Khutba begins 1.50pm) and 2.45pm (Khutba begins 2.30pm). Sisters are requested to attend the final Jummah prayer. If you have any questions please visit the office.
