Save a Life - Give Blood

Blood is something we all expect to be there for us when we need it, yet only 4% of us give blood. Many people would not be alive today if it wasn't for the generosity of donors. Allah (swt) reminds us in the Qur'an:

...and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of all mankind.[Al-Qur'an 5:32]

The NHS Blood Service has arranged a special blood clinic at Ealing Town Hall, Elizabeth Cantel Rom, New Broadway, Ealing W5 2BY, where you can go and give blood on Tuesday 13th November 2012 between 12.45pm and 3pm or 4.30pm and 7.30pm.

You will be required to register online and make an appointment  beforehand here or by calling 0300 123 2323.

This is neccessary to determine whether you can give blood, as regulations mean that amongst other things anyone who has recieved a blood transfusion since 1st January 1980 is not permitted, for full details on who can and can't give blood please click here

The Prophet (pbuh) said, 'Each person's every joint must perform a charity every day the sun rises: to act justly between two people is a charity; to help a man with his mount, lifting him onto it or hoisting up his belongings onto it is a charity: a good word is a charity, every step you take to prayers is a charity and removing a harmful thing from the road is a charity.'
