Al Manar Weekend Madrasah & Supplementary School

Key stage 3 (Years 7, 8 & 9) is a vital three year period in a young students’ education. Covering ages 11 to 14, pupils develop their study of a wide range of national curriculum subject areas including English & Maths.

Normal weekday evening madrasah and Mosque attendance is noticeably difficult for both parents and children, with a rush to get from school to home, to madrasah and back home again in time for dinner and homework!

Having considered the possible negative effects on a young child’s Islamic and regular education, Al-Manar has re-organised its weekend school to offer complimentary Maths and English studies alongside Qur’an, Arabic and Islamic studies. Qualified tutors will teach a range of subjects whilst actively supporting the students’ wider Key Stage 3 education.

With more time, smaller classes and a relaxed environment, the weekend supplementary school is an ideal alternative to the rough and tumble of weekday madrasah.

Syllabus & subjects to be covered:

• Qur’an
• Maths
• Islamic Studies
• English
• Arabic
• Recreation & Sports

The fee is £60 per month, school commenced on Saturday 5th December 2009 from 9am to 1.30pm. To register or for further details please contact the Course Co-ordinator Br Inam-ul-Haq Haqqani on 07875 571645

The Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) stated 'He who amongst you sees something abominable should modify it with the help of his hand; and if he has not strength enough to do that, then he should do it with his tongue; and if he has not strength enough to do even that, then he should (at least dislike it) from his heart; and that is the least of faith' [Sahih Muslim]
