Centre Donation for Ealing Hospital

On behalf of the local Muslim community, the West London Islamic Centre administration was pleased to present a cheque for £650 to the respected chaplain Jonathan Osborne of the Ealing Hospital chaplaincy team.

Upon conveying the donation, Imam Inayatullah requested that half the monies be spent on the requirements of the chaplaincy office and half be given towards general hospital provisions. The Ealing Hospital chaplaincy office  hosts a team of over 8 chaplains of different religious denominations, with the Centres' Imam Inayatullah and Imam Inam-ul-Haq Haqqani providing honorary pastoral care to Muslim patients, they also conduct the weekly Friday sermon in the hospitals special multi-faith prayer room.

Mr Osbourne expressed his thanks and appreciation for this earnest token of support by the community, for a hospital whose work and patient care they admire and acknowledge.

The Prophet (pbuh) said 'That which is lawful is plain and that which is unlawful is plain and between the two of them are doubtful matters about which not many people know. Thus he who avoids doubtful matters clears himself in regard to his religion and his honor, but he who falls into doubtful matters falls into that which is unlawful, like the shepherd who pastures around a sanctuary, all but grazing therein. Truly every king has a sanctuary, and truly Allah's sanctuary is His prohibitions. Truly in the body there is a morsel of flesh which, if it be whole, all the body is whole and which, if it be diseased, all of it is diseased. Truly it is the heart.' [Related in Bukhari]
