Eid Mubarak from WLIC

Eid-ul-Fitr will take place on Tuesday 4th June Insha'Allah. On behalf of WLIC we would like to wish you, your family and the community a blessed, peaceful and happy Eid, we hope you have a wonderful day. Fitrana is £4 per family member and should be paid before Eid Salah.

In these final hours of Ramadan, a time when blessings and rewards are multiplied, please support the Masjid re-development and make a donation. May Allah (swt) build you a palace in Paradise. Our target this Ramadan was £500,000 to complete Phase 2 of this amazing project. Donations can be made here

The temporary Masjid has a limited capacity, please wait for brothers and sisters to leave from the previous prayer before you enter the Masjid, kindly listen to the instruction of stewards, they are volunteers who help make your stay as safe and comfortable as possible.

Please be considerate of our neighbours, remember it is a Sunnah to walk to Eid prayer and return home via an alternative route, so local brothers and sisters should leave their cars at home, if you drive to the centre, please park sensibly. The Prayer timings at the Masjid are as follows, all khutbas will be in English:

7am- Imam Abdul Lateef

8am- Ustad Abdur Rahman

9.30am- Ustad Mustafa Omar

11am - Ustad Junaid Dar

The Masjid administration would like to thank all the brothers and sisters who volunteered, assisted and worked to make this Ramadan such a special time. We also wish the whole community a blessed, peaceful and happy Eid. Rabbana Taqabbal Siyaamana wa Qiyaamana wa Ruku'ana wa Sujoodana wa Kulli a'maalina fi Sabilika fi Shahri-Ramadan, Ameen. May Allah (swt) accept our fasting, our prayers, our prostrations and all our good deeds done in the month of Ramadan, Ameen. May he grant us the fortune to see another Ramadan and may He enable us to adhere to the spirit and teachings of Ramadan for the remainder of the year.

Brothers and sisters are advised to fast any six days in the new month of Shawwal, in accorrdance with the Hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said,

“Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan, and then follows it up by (fasting) six days of Shawwal, it is as though he has fasted the whole year.” (Reported by Muslim)

"Those who spend (in Allah's Cause) in prosperity and in adversity, who repress anger, and who pardon men. Verily, Allah loves the good doers." [Al-Qur'an 3:134]
