Eid ul-Fitr 2017 Announcement

Eid-ul-Fitr will take place on Sunday 25th June Insha'Allah. On behalf of WLIC we would like to wish you, your family and the  community a blessed, peaceful and happy Eid, we hope you have a wonderful day. Fitrana is £4 per family member and should be paid before Eid Salah.

In these final hours of Ramadan, a time when blessings and rewards are multiplied, please support the Masjid re-development project. With your generous donations we have raised over £2.8million in the redevelopment account, we will be  vacating and closing the Masjid next month and need to raise a further £1.7 million  to complete Phase 1 and return to the site in a temporary Masjid within 1 year. Please click here to make a donation. May Allah (swt) build you a palace in Paradise.

There will be no car parking in the Masjid forecourt. Please be considerate of our neighbours, remember it is a Sunnah to walk to Eid prayer and return home via an alternative route, so local brothers and sisters should leave their cars at home. Prayer timings at the Masjid are as follows, all khutbas will be in English:

7am- Ustad Asifudeen

8am- Imam Abdul Lateef

9.30am-Imam Inayatullah

11am-Ustad Abid Khan

The Masjid administration would like to thank all the brothers and sisters who volunteered, assisted and worked to make this Ramadan such a special time. We also wish the whole community a blessed, peaceful and happy Eid. Rabbana Taqabbal Siyaamana wa Qiyaamana wa Ruku'ana wa Sujoodana wa Kulli a'maalina fi Sabilika fi Shahri-Ramadan, Ameen. May Allah (swt) accept our fasting, our prayers, our prostrations and all our good deeds done in the month of Ramadan, Ameen. May he grant us the fortune to see another Ramadan and may He enable us to adhere to the spirit and teachings of Ramadan for the remainder of the year.

Brothers and sisters are advised to fast any six days in the new month of Shawwal, in accorrdance with the Hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who said,

“Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan, and then follows it up by (fasting) six days of Shawwal, it is as though he has fasted the whole year.” (Reported by Muslim)

Abu Hurayrah (ra) narrated that The Final Messenger of Allah said, 'He will not enter Paradise whose neighbour is not secure from his wrongful conduct'. Sahih Muslim
