The parable of those who spend of their substance in the way of Allah is that of a grain of corn: It grows seven ears, and each ear has a hundred grains. Allah gives manifold increase to whom He pleases; And Allah cares for all and He knows all things. (Al-Qur'an 2:261)

The Prophet (pbuh) said 'Sadaqah (charity) appeases the anger of the Lord and wards of the agonies of death.' (Tirmidhi)

Narrated by Anas (RA) I served the Prophet Mohammed (pbuh) for ten years, and he never said to me even a 'Uf' [a minor harsh word denoting impatience] and never blamed me by saying, 'Why did you do so or why didn't you do so?'[Related in Bukhari]
