Muhammad (pbuh)- Legacy of a Prophet

He was Caesar and Pope in one; but he was Pope without Pope's pretensions, Caesar without the legions of Caesar: without a standing army, without a bodyguard, without a palace, without a fixed revenue. If ever any man had the right to say that he ruled by the right divine, it was Mohammad, for he had all the power without its instruments and without its supports. [Bosworth Smith 1874]

Meaning of Victory in Islam

What is true victory in Islam? Ibn Al-Qaiyim described the conquest of Makkah on the 23rd of Ramadan in the 8th year after Hijrah as the greatest one by which Allah (swt) honoured His religion, His Messenger, and the party of truth. He thereby rescued the Sacred House, whose guidance all people seek. Importantly we must remember the conduct of the Prophet on this great day. Revenge and destruction was not the Prophets desire, although the Quraysh had tormented him and his companions for nearly 20 years in Makkah. The Quraysh were the cause of Khadijah(ra) death and they killed his beloved uncle Hamza(ra), but he still wished them guidance. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was an example of principle, tolerance, forgiveness, benevolence, strength, power, wisdom, and sublime ethics on this day of victory. Presented by Ustad Dr Kemal Helbawy.
