Remembrance of Allah

When we have absolute belief in Allah as our Lord and the Sustainer of our existence, when we stand upright for truth and justice, when we invite people to the path of Godliness, when we replace evil with good and when we remain patient, then we will enjoy the results of success in this world and the next.

Patience in adversity was one of the foremost hallmarks of the Prophets of Allah (swt), a virtue requiring cultivation, patience is intertwined with victory, with relief after distress and with ease after hardship. Allah (swt) reassures us in Surah Al Anfaal that surely He is with those who are As Sabiroon (The Patient)

The Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said, 'The best of days is Friday, so increase in conveying peace and blessings on me, for your blessings will be submitted to me.' [Sunan Ibn Majah] Watch and share the WLIC Friday Reminder.

Friday is a blessed day, though sadly we are currently praying at home due to the Corona emergency, let us take a few minutes to stay in touch with this symbol of our faith and the House of Allah (swt)

Once certainty is firmly rooted in the heart, it bears the fruit of true and sincere reliance on Allah, at time of ease and hardship. "And to Allah belongs the Ghaib (unseen) of the heavens and the earth, and to Him return all affairs (for decision). So worship Him and put your trust in Him. " [Al Qur'an 11:123] Presented by Br Inam-ul-Haq Haqqani,a Muslim chaplin, Imam and LLB Shariah graduate from the International Islamic University, Islamabad.

With reference to the countless Signs that are found in the world, from man's own body to the earth and heavens, all testifying Tawhid (the Oneness of God), the 45th Surah of the Qur'an, answers the doubts and objections of the disbelievers of Makkah about Tawhid and the Hereafter and warns them about the attitude they had adopted against God's final Revelation.

Loved by the Prophet, the subject matter of this Surah is unique to Islam. The Hereafter is foretold in particular detail and then as now, the concept that people would be resurrected after death, and they would have to render an account of their deeds, was deemed impossible. The human mind could not percieve such a meeting. After all, how could it be possible that when the body had disintegrated into dust the scattered particles would be reassembled after hundreds of thousands of years to make up the same body once again and raised up as a living body, Allah (swt) responds with a lucid and astounding discourse.

The tear-jerking 55th Surah of th Quran, Allah(swt) repeatedly asks mankind,'Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?' The main theme of the Surah is giving manifestation and fruits to the attributes of Allahs mercy and grace, which is evident right from the beginning till the end. Surah Ar Rehman is often referred to as the beauty of the Quran, in accordance with the Hadith where Abdullah ibn Masud(ra) reported that the Prophet Muhammed(pbuh) said, 'Everything has an adornment, and the adornment of the Qur'an is Surah Ar Rahman

The opeing chapter of the Qur'an is named Al-Fatiha, it reads: All praises and thanks are for Allah the Lord of the Universe. The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful. Master of the Day of Recompense. You Alone we worship, and You Alone we ask for help. Guide us upon the Straight Path. The Path of those on whom You have bestowed your grace, not the Path of those who earned your Anger, nor of those that went astray. Muslims repeat this phrase 'Ihdinasi r'atal Mustaqueem' or Guide us upon the Straight Path, many times during their daily prayers. But do we stop to consider what it really means and how it applies do our daily lives? Presented by Dr Imran Alawiye
